Frequently asked questions

Becoming certified in project management means enhancing your experience with international recognition. A certification attests to your methodological skills, your rigor, and your ability to lead complex projects. It is a guarantee of credibility with employers and a concrete asset for advancing your career, changing jobs, or strengthening your employability.

Obtaining a project management certification also gives you the opportunity to learn about best practices, assess how you already apply them, and acquire new skills and tools.

Finally, it is also an opportunity to join a professional community and continue to develop your professional skills as a project manager or business analyst.

There is no real answer to this question. The PMP® is highly regarded and offers valuable international recognition if you are aiming for a career as a project manager. Based on job advertisements, it is clear that companies are primarily looking for practical project management skills. These skills are preferably guaranteed by a recognized certification, but the type of certification is rarely specified.

It is therefore mainly a choice to be made based on your background, your goals, and the expectations of the target sector, also taking into account your motivation and personal situation. The skills acquired through one of our certifications are applicable to all fields and are recognized far beyond Switzerland’s borders.

The choice of your certification and training path depends on several factors. Our guidance tool is based on the official certification requirements, your project management experience, your level of education, and your career goals.

In addition, it is important to consider more personal factors such as your availability and motivation, your personal situation, and any potential barriers to learning. Your industry may also influence your choice, as Project Management Institute certifications (CAPM® and PMP®) are particularly attractive to Anglo-Saxon multinationals, while IPMA® and PRINCE2® certifications are more popular with European companies.

Remember that the majority of companies are looking for certified project management skills but do not mention specific certifications in their job postings.

Some certifications require specific project management experience, depending on the role and level of training.

Example: For Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification, candidates must:

  • hold a bachelor’s degree and have 3 years of experience, or
  • have a high school diploma and at least 5 years of project management experience.

The choice of certification also depends on your career plans. It’s a matter of finding the best match between your goal, the personal investment required outside of training (between 40 and 160 hours of work), and the most useful qualification for your career path.

We obviously recommend applying the rule of consistency by choosing the same language for both training and exams (to avoid confusion over terminology). However, we regularly have participants who switch between languages for various reasons. Finally, and especially in Geneva, it may be strategically advantageous to choose English, particularly if you are aiming for an international career (C1 min.).

The preparation time required may vary depending on various factors such as the certification chosen, intellectual or methodological abilities, or prior knowledge or experience in project management. It is therefore not possible to give a precise figure for each certification. The estimates given on our website are empirical estimates based on the experiences of our participants.

It is important to emphasize that the number one factor for success is you! Without commitment and personal investment, no candidate can pass the exam. We are facilitators in this learning and assimilation process, attaching great importance to creating a community of learners that builds confidence, stimulates, and encourages each person to make the most of our guidance and resources.

If, beyond these key success factors, you are still interested in the figures, we have achieved the following success rates in recent history: CAPM and PMP > 90%, IPMA approx. 80%.

The PRINCE2® Foundation certification preparation course has just been launched. We therefore do not yet have any performance data, but we are aiming for a success rate of over 90%.

At all certification bodies, if you provide medical proof, you can benefit from special accommodations such as extra time for exams (approx. 10 to 25% depending on the case and the body).

We do not display prices because they vary depending on your situation and financing method. For example, significant discounts are offered to humanitarian organizations and social services.
