General Objectives & Approach
This programme pursues three main objectives:
• Strengthen the ability to apply a project management methodology in real professional situations.
• Develop a structured approach to project leadership, decision-making, and adaptation.
• Effectively prepare participants for the PRINCE2® Practitioner examination.

This training pathway is based on active learning methods centred on realistic project scenarios. Theoretical concepts are introduced through e-learning, allowing classroom sessions to focus on scenario analysis, simulations, peer discussions, and practical group exercises.
Program
- Introduction to the PRINCE2® Practitioner pathway and its objectives
- Explanation of the training structure: e-learning, classroom sessions, mock exams, and certification process
- Introduction to the tools used throughout the programme
- Clarification of expectations, individual study requirements, and certification procedures
- Question-and-answer session with participants
This first classroom day focuses on project definition, business justification, organisation, planning, and quality management.
Through a continuous case study inspired by the music industry, participants will learn to:
- Analyse a project context and structure the initial project definition activities
- Clarify roles, responsibilities, and project governance
- Assess project justification through the Business Case practice
- Understand planning principles and supporting techniques
- Identify quality requirements and stakeholder expectations
- Link PRINCE2® practices with the Starting Up, Directing, and Initiating a Project processes
- Use management products and appropriate processes to analyse project situations
- Consolidate learning through targeted review of difficulties identified in Mock Exam 1
This second classroom day focuses on project control, risk management, product delivery, and decision-making regarding continuation or closure.
Through the continuous case study, participants will learn to:
- Analyse project monitoring and control situations
- Identify risks, issues, exceptions, and appropriate corrective actions
- Understand tolerance management and escalation mechanisms
- Differentiate the responsibilities of the Project Manager, Team Manager, and Project Board
- Apply the Risk, Issue, and Progress practices in practical scenarios
- Use the Controlling a Stage, Managing Product Delivery, Managing a Stage Boundary, and Closing a Project processes
- Identify the information required to support continuation or closure decisions
- Justify decisions consistent with PRINCE2® principles
- Consolidate learning through targeted review of the most challenging mock exam questions
Certification preparation is integrated throughout the programme to progressively develop the skills and reflexes expected in the Practitioner examination.

- Guidance on common examination pitfalls

The objective is to help participants understand the examination structure and develop a clear, rigorous, and effective answering strategy.
Practical Information
- Class size: Maximum of 12 participants per group to ensure optimal learning conditions.
- Location: Classroom sessions take place in Geneva, Rue de Montbrillant 38, within walking distance of Cornavin railway station. Directions will be provided before the start of the programme.
- Schedule: Classroom sessions run from 08:30 to 12:00 and from 13:15 to 17:00.
- Remote support: Online onboarding sessions are delivered via Microsoft Teams. Access details will be sent by email.
- Language: Sessions are available in English.
Prerequisites
- An eligible project management certification is required. PeopleCert accepts PRINCE2® Foundation v7, selected previous PRINCE2® versions, PMP®, CAPM®, selected APM qualifications, and IPMA® certifications Levels A, B, C, or D.
- Personal commitment: Individual study outside classroom sessions is required according to the programme schedule. This workload generally ranges from 20 to 40 hours depending on prior experience.
- Availability: Attendance above 80% and completion of the full e-learning pathway are required.
- Digital literacy: Familiarity with common digital tools, a computer with a camera, and a reliable internet connection are required.
- Language proficiency: Minimum English level equivalent to C1; C2 recommended.
- Ability to study independently in preparation for the certification examination.
