Founded in 1964, the International Project Management Association (IPMA) is one of the oldest organizations in the field. In Switzerland, the VZPM, the association for the certification of individuals in management, founded in 1996, oversees IPMA-D certification.
The ICB (Individual Competence Baseline) framework assesses technical, behavioral, and contextual skills. The IPMA therefore places particular emphasis on the human dimension and real-world project experience.
Level D certification, accessible without prerequisites, is ideal for professionals involved in the project, whether experienced or aspiring, who are looking to acquire general skills and knowledge.
With more than 70 member associations around the world and nearly 400,000 certified individuals globally, IPMA brings together a large international community of project management professionals. This certification is highly recognized in Switzerland and enjoys good to excellent recognition internationally, particularly in Europe.
